Clare and I just came back from our honeymoon. We were in Capri, Italy. It was wonderful, just like our wedding! Clare and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you, the whole band and the Georgia! We loved the music and will definitely recommend you all to our friends for their wedding.

The Ritz Trio had a busy week of events and weddings last week starting out performing at the National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh for Petroleum Experts, a regular client of the Trio. On Saturday the chaps travelled over to Perthshire to play at Errol Park. It was then a quick drive over the Lungha House on the West coast of Scotland to play for another wedding but joined by pianist Euan Stephenson and vocalist Georgia Smith. On Sunday the Trio returned to the Edinburgh area for another wedding at the Vu near Bathgate.

“I just wanted to thank you again for your superb music last night. It was just exactly what we needed for the evening and you and the guys performed so beautifully, with many of our friends commenting on your talent and skill. Thank you and I’ll have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone and you have been a pleasure to deal with”.

A Big Thank You!

The Ritz Trio performed at the Scottish Parliament building this week on behalf of the Scottish Woodland Trust.

“Thanks for being part of our Scottish Parliamentary reception this week – the saxophone / guitar combo hit the perfect note for our celebration of Scottish Tree of the Year 2017, our special volunteers and our generous supporters. Thanks for being so flexible with the timing too – we would have loved to have you play for longer but parliamentarians are hard workers and their late exit from the chamber meant a shorter than anticipated musical interlude! But it was all the sweeter for it J. Hiring jazz musicians isn’t an everyday occurrence for a woodland conservation charity, but I hope we can find an excuse to work with you again soon.”

Royal engagement for the Ritz Trio

By |September 8th, 2017|News|0 Comments

The Ritz Trio played for Prince Charles this week at an event marking the tenth anniversary of the rescue of Dumfries House.
In 2007, the stately home, nestled in the Ayrshire countryside, was about to be sold off but Prince Charles decided to use his various charities to buy it – and save the house for the nation. Rain failed to dampen the spirits of the garden party and the Ritz Trio with special guests Seonaid Aitkin (Violin) and Fraser Urquart (Piano) had a fun afternoon!
